Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead technical accounting analysis and documentation for complex transactions under US GAAP.
- Prepare accounting memos supporting positions on areas such as:
- Revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Stock-based compensation (ASC 718)
- Business combinations & goodwill impairment (ASC 805 / 350)
- Investments and fair value measurements (ASC 820)
- Lease accounting (ASC 842)
- Debt, equity, and complex financing transactions
- Earn-outs and contingent consideration
- Partner with Legal and Corporate Development on transaction structuring and accounting implications.
- Support external audits and serve as primary contact for technical accounting topics.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal documentation.
- Review complex journal entries and reconciliations.
- Identify process improvements to strengthen close and reporting cycles.
- Support new system implementations and process automation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting guidance.
- Experience supporting audits and preparing technical accounting memos.
- Experience in consulting/services environments preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex accounting topics to non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
