What You Will Do
The Vice President of Enterprise Analytics and Digital Innovation play a critical leadership role in advancing the organization's digital and data-driven initiatives across clinical, research, and operational domains. Reporting directly to the Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO), this executive is responsible for shaping and executing a unified strategy that leverages digital technologies and enterprise analytics to deliver measurable outcomes and sustainable innovation. With deep expertise in business operations, emerging technologies, and data science, the VP will align digital and data initiatives with the organization's strategic goals to improve patient experience, streamline clinician workflows, and enhance organizational efficiency. This leader will serve as the executive champion for enterprise data governance, data quality, and analytics delivery, ensuring that data is managed as a strategic asset and harnessed to drive clinical, operational, and financial value creation. The VP will translate enterprise strategy into actionable digital and data programs with measurable impact, manage complex digital portfolios, and enable scalable, sustainable innovation. Serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders, operational teams, and technology partners, the VP will ensure cohesive execution and value realization across all initiatives. This position requires a visionary leader who can bridge technology and business strategy, champion transformation, and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and digital excellence.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10 Years of progressive application leadership and digital experience in a complex health system or academic medical center; strong experience supporting Epic environments.
  • 5 Years of technical experience supporting and managing enterprise systems in complex environments.
  • 5 Years of senior management responsibility for largescale, multiteam project oversight and enterprise system deployment.
  • Experience negotiating high stakes business prioritization decisions while establishing and maintaining a high level of customer trust and confidence.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

  • Epic and/or Workday certifications - Preferred

Essential Functions
  • Strategy
    Works collaboratively and maintains effective relationships with senior leadership, physician leadership, department managers, and staff across Sharp HealthCare.
    Provides enterprise data and digital systems vision and leadership for developing and implementing systemwide information technology initiatives and contributes to Sharp HealthCare's strategic plan.
    Ensures effective integration of healthcare operations and IT digital and analytics systems, particularly during acquisitions, affiliations, and expansions.
    Continues the development, maintenance, support, enhancement, and optimization of digital ecosystems.
    Oversight of enterprise data and analytics
    Ensure business continuity planning, support structures, and downtime preparedness.
    Partner closely with Architecture and Solutions teams to align digital strategies with enterprise architecture.
    Standardize tools, processes, and methodologies across the enterprise portfolio.
  • Leadership and Operations

    Maintains effective business relationships and negotiates advantageous agreements with vendors and service providers.
    Monitors performance of initiatives including budgets, timelines, and key outcomes.
    Performs ongoing assessment of team capabilities to ensure support of business needs.
    Identifies, evaluates, and recommends emerging technologies and application platforms to advance Sharp HealthCare's operational and clinical objectives.
    Ensures staff development, training, mentorship, and career progression structures are in place to develop a highperforming organization.
    Leads by example through participation, technical guidance, and oversight of missioncritical projects.
    Identifies and selects the appropriate hardware, software, and platforms to support enterprise requirements.
    Ensures quality standards and service levels consistent with IS division standards.
    Ensures major technology initiatives are synchronized with Sharp HealthCare's organizational priorities.
    Plans, leads, and directs work of staff to ensure goals and objectives are met within budget and timelines.

    Build trusted relationships and partner with senior management and become fully integrated into the leadership team. Be perceived as a solid team player who has credibility, integrity and contributes broadly as a subject matter leader for analytics, data science and artificial intelligence.
    Learn the data technology platforms currently in place and develop the future strategy to build upon and enhance the ecosystem in alignment with the priorities and goals of the health system.
    Provide the leadership to solidify the operating model that effectively creates a center of excellence to advance analytics and data science.
    Provide guidance and support for a high performing and sophisticated team. Enable a culture that energizes and is supportive of staff and offers career growth and development opportunities to aid in recruitment and retention.
    Build trust, credibility and strong relationships with business, research and clinical leaders across the enterprise to identify and address their data/reporting needs. Develop solid relationships with external partners that generate value and assist with achieving health system goals.
    Develop and implement formalized practices and standards to support clinical and business intelligence.
    Provide the strategy and leadership in developing core data assets.
  • Digital Leadership

    Serve as the lead IT executive over digital innovation and the consumer experience, collaborating closely with Digital Marketing counterparts. This includes the continued development and execution of a digital health services strategy
    In collaboration with other leaders across Sharp, coordinate and lead the efforts to align stakeholders across health system leaders, operations, clinical teams and the population health team, among others, to fully implement digital solutions that meet the needs of the patient populations that Sharp serves and furthers strategic objectives for the organization
    Push key constituents within the healthcare system to think in new ways about patient value, including ways to improve access, convenience, personalization, loyalty, etc.
    Utilize a deep understanding of macro and micro trends in healthcare to push providers and colleagues to increase their focus on virtual health and digital services to meet the needs of a changing consumer base
    Provide executive oversight and ongoing leadership to increase digital using Epic MyChart, online scheduling, revenue cycle, interoperability, virtual care, telehealth, remote patient monitoring and related technologies that impact the overall consumer experience journey
    Evaluate and pilot new and emerging digital tools to advance clinical and business operations. Lead the implementation efforts of such programs
    Collaborate with Marketing and the Patient Care committee to develop consumer centric strategies that can advance digital interventions that both improve the overall consumer experience and lead to increased positive outcomes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of large, complex health systems and ability to operate as a credible strategic thought partner and operations advisor
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare applications, Epic, Workday, and modern enterprise data, digital, and technology stacks.
  • Proven ability to drive digital innovation within a complex environment
  • Proven ability to create 1-3-year innovation/digital roadmaps that meet long-term strategic initiatives and drive near-term actions
  • Ability to lead complex system implementations, manage teams, and govern enterprise initiatives.
  • A proven track record of making data-informed decisions, with concrete examples of outcomes resulting from defining and measuring success
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
