Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for an Account Manager to work on a remote 18 month contract for an education technology company. This person would be assisting in creating and delivering deployment programs to help our customers use our product.


Summary
  • The Account Manager role is responsible for engaging with strategic customers and positioning the value of the product and solutions.
  • The role is a hybrid position involving customer success and content creation (pitch decks, demos, assets) with a foundation in account management. The goal of this position is to activate and support customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • The role is challenging, agile, and proactive, as the team is small and the marketing support is limited.
  • The role is not focused on closing deals, but on generating interest, discovery, and alignment with customer needs and goals.
Requirements
  • Experience in sales, sales enablement, customer readiness, or field enablement, preferably in the education or technology sector.
  • Ability to ask follow-up questions and go deeper into customer pain points and challenges, based on the solutions we want to push.
  • Familiarity with the product and its features, or willingness to learn quickly and independently.
  • Ability to navigate the multitude of offerings and tailor the positioning to different customer segments and personas.
  • Confidence and competence in having customer conversations, doing discovery, and positioning value.
  • Competitive and goal-oriented mindset, with KPIs and targets to hit.
  • Self-starter and problem-solver, who can create their own assets and demos when needed, using Word, PowerPoint, or other tools.
  • Experience or interest in role-based scenarios and solutions selling, or programmatic outreach with an education background.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM is highly preferred
