Accounting and Payroll Coordinator

Summary of Position
The Accounting and Payroll Coordinator supports both the Payroll and Accounting teams at BGCB. This role assists with payroll processing, benefits enrollment data entry, and federal meals program data reporting and reimbursement processes. The position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll Support

Assist in the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll.

Provide data entry support to ensure accurate and up-to-date payroll records and 403(b) records.

Work closely with People and Culture team (HR) to enter benefits deduction information into the payroll system and review payroll for accuracy.

Calculate retroactive payments – both owed to and deducted from individual employees.

Address and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Accounting Support
-
Manage and oversee data collection and reporting for the federal meals program across all BGCB sites.
-
Manage and oversee data collection and monthly billing of the club nutrition programs for all BGCB sites.
-
Act as liaison to the Massachusetts Department of Education relating to nutrition program.

Submit accurate reimbursement requests to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) for the federal meals program.

Reconcile meals program accounts monthly to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance.

Provide additional accounting support, including assisting in month-end close activities and special projects as needed.
General Responsibilities

Collaborate with Payroll and Accounting teams to streamline and improve processes.

Ensure compliance with BGCB policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations.

Support other team members as needed and fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

2–4 years of experience in payroll or accounting roles preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets and use functions and formulas effectively; experience with payroll/accounting software (UKG & Dynamics 365) is a plus.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively.
Salary & Benefits
Salary - $ 63,791-$74,802 annually - commensurate with education and experience; along with competitive benefits and a great work environment
