Aftermarket Consumables Inside Sales Representative (Shelton, CT)

Responsibilities
Location(s) Shelton, Connecticut Status Regular Job ID REQ-056762JobResponsibilities:
Meet and exceed sales targets, including total booked order value and associated margin
Generate sales pipeline by meeting outbound sales activity targets including daily phone calls, customer conversations, quote deliveries, and order conversions
Contribute to team success against targets and collaborate with other sales reps
Work closely with leadership to develop growth strategies for assigned territory
Contact customers to follow up on leads generated through service engineers and other channels
Respond to customer inquiries and act as their point of contact for PerkinElmer
Develop product knowledge to effectively grow portfolio within territory
Follow company best practices and processes and learn effective selling techniques
Maintain sales pipeline and activity accurately in CRM tools
Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment

Critical Skills:
Must be results-driven and possess the ability to utilize exceptional negotiation skills.
Ability to work within a Team Selling Model and engage field-based resources as necessary to advance opportunities.
Aptitude to learn new systems and retain technical information.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships via the telephone and email.
Highly effective time management and organizational skills.
Process orientated, with a strong knowledge of selling, marketing & the customer care process.
Basic Qualifications:
+ 1 year of inside sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar scientific field
General knowledge of CRM systems is preferred. Salesforce.com experience is a plus.
Relevant experience in the analytical instruments & consumables industry
Relevant experience in laboratory or field service operations
The annualcompensation range for this full-time position is $56,680.00 to $79,760.00. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
