Job Description
• Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
• Performing part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
• Measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Modifying incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure.
• Monitoring and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: lifting over 25 pounds, working with chemicals, prolonged overhead work, climbing up and down ladders, prolonged kneeling, bending, or stooping, carrying tools, testing for and wearing a respirator, and working in awkward and/or confined spaces
• DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access required to start, but not required to apply
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, blueprints, etc.
• Ability to work with multiple tools
• Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
• Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret level security clearance
• A&P License
• Previous composite, manufacturing, or production experience
• Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures
Primary Level Salary Range: $17.45 - $29.09The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
