Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 3 or Level 4
Job Description
This position will support our B shift (4/10's schedule, WEEKDAY NIGHTS) production.
This role can be filled at an Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 3 or Level 4 depending on the qualifications below.
Position Requirements:
This position requires experience working on aircrafts with a complete understanding of the detailed aspects of the job with practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. The candidate will receive limited supervision with few instructions for routine work and general instructions on new activities or special assignments. May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower-level employees.
What you'll get to do:
• Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
• Performing part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
• Measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Modifying incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure.
• Monitoring and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 4-years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar)
• Perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: lifting over 25 pounds, working with chemicals, prolonged overhead work, climbing up and down ladders, prolonged kneeling, bending, or stooping, carrying tools, testing for and wearing a respirator, and working in awkward and/or confined spaces
• DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access required to start, but not required to apply
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc.
• Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
• Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret level security clearance
• A&P License
• Previous composite, manufacturing, or production experience
• Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures

Primary Level Salary Range: $25.34 - $42.26Secondary Level Salary Range: $30.14 - $50.24The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
