Position Overview:
Work as part of the Access Networks team to support planning, documentation, and coordination efforts related to Mediacom's HFC and IP access technologies. This position will assist with gathering and organizing information from vendor discussions, maintaining pricing and upgrade tracking tools, and supporting planning and forecasting activities for network upgrades. The role provides exposure to both RF and IP engineering disciplines, serving as a developmental path toward an engineering career within Access Networks.

Position Responsibilities:
- Participate in vendor meetings to capture key discussion points, technology updates, and follow-up actions.
- Organize and maintain documentation related to vendor roadmaps, product releases, and upgrade compatibility.
- Build and update Excel-based tools for planning, forecasting, and tracking upgrade activity, pricing, and deployment schedules.
- Maintain data and reports for Access Networks leadership to support planning and prioritization decisions.
- Collaborate with HFC and IP engineers in the lab environment to document test results, validate vendor claims, and track new technology readiness.
- Assist in the development of templates, processes, and documentation standards for vendor evaluations and upgrade planning.
- Coordinate with the HFCNOC, NOC, Technical Operations, and Engineering groups to support network planning and upgrade activities.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications, including Visio, preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly learn new software tools and systems.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating across technical, operational, and vendor teams.
- Basic understanding of HFC and IP network concepts preferred.
- Interest in developing toward a technical or engineering role within Access Networks.
- Cable or telecommunications industry experience preferred.
