Are you ready to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world application development while earning college credits? The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines is seeking a motivated student for a Co-Op position within our Information Technology department.Accountabilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain, and enhance systems used across the Bank.
- Assist with application analysis, development, and testing activities.
- Provide technical support to IT staff and end users as needed.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internally developed applications.
- Work with vendor-supported platforms to ensure optimal system performance and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and system-related issues.
- Gain exposure to financial systems and banking technology processes.
- Collaborate with team members on technology initiatives and projects.
Requirements:
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science or graduate student in masters of engineering/computer science program.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Detail oriented.
- Knowledge of agile/waterfall development practices.
- Java stack development knowledge.
- MS SQL Server knowledge, including SQL Server Reporting Services and/or SQL Server Integration Services.
- Interest in or understanding of financial institutions and financial instruments.
- Current students and candidates with a strong interest in application development and who are able to work full-time hours.
Compensation Range:
Hourly: $22.00 - $22.00This compensation range represents the Bank’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
