Our Automotive client is seeking a Application Tech Lead! This role is a 3-month opportunity onsite in Torrance, CA (5 days/week onsite). Note that candidates may be asked to complete an assessment during the interview process.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead Mobile Architecture & Development: Drive the design and implementation of scalable mobile solutions across Android and iOS platforms.
- Provide Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide the mobile development team to ensure successful project delivery.
- Own Projects End-to-End: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications.
- Develop Native Mobile Apps: Lead development efforts using Kotlin/Java for Android and Swift/Objective-C for iOS.
- Integrate Securely: Work with RESTful APIs, OAuth, JWT, and third-party SDKs to ensure secure and seamless integrations.
- Support Automotive Features: Implement and maintain CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.
- Ensure Quality: Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization to maintain high standards.
- Document Thoroughly: Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 4+ years of experience in mobile and smartwatch app development.
- Expertise in native Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT) and API integration.
- Experience with CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Proficiency in debugging and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with MQTT and real-time communication.
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with hybrid frameworks (React Native, Flutter, AngularJS, NodeJS).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
- Understanding of mobile security best practices.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Background in automotive domain and digital services.
