Position: Applications Product Owner

Location: Miami, FL- onsite 4 days a week

Duration : 6 month contract with extension

Rate Range : 60-68/hr

Position Overview:

Application Product Owner operates as an individual contributor within the Global organization and is accountable for the operational ownership of assigned related applications supporting both shipboard and shoreside environments.


The scope of this role spans multiple brands, vessels, and operational contexts, requiring close coordination with internal technology teams, shipboard and shoreside gaming operations, and external vendors.


This position does not have direct people management responsibility but carries significant responsibility for application reliability, operational effectiveness, and issue resolution in a complex, guest-facing, revenue-critical environment. The role supports systems used in a 24/7 operational setting and may be involved in activities across multiple time zones, currencies and geography.


Job Requirements:

  • Serve as the primary, hands-on operational owner and technical subject matter expert for assigned gaming systems and applications used across shipboard and shoreside environments
  • Oversee day-to-day application operations, including monitoring performance, managing incidents, and coordinating resolution of system issues
  • Act as the central point of contact between Global Gaming business teams, IT, vendors, compliance and support partners for application-related matters
  • Partner with IT and vendors to ensure system availability, stability, and compliance with Carnival technology standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support application enhancements and configuration changes, translating operational needs into clear requirements and validating delivered solutions • Participate in release planning, testing, and deployment coordination to minimize operational disruption
  • Support shipboard teams by providing functional guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and operational insight related to gaming systems
  • Maintain application documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge artifacts to support consistent system use and supportability
  • Assist in vendor management activities, including issue escalation, service reviews, and performance tracking
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system optimization to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience
  • Collaborate with compliance, security, and audit partners to support regulatory adherence and internal controls
  • Participate in incident post-mortems and root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
  • Facilitate regular updates to business and IT leadership teams on status of issues, development and upcoming product releases
  • Collaborate with developers and UAT teams to ensure solutions meet expectations. This may require working in lab environment
