Assistant Director of the Nursing Resource Center
Job Description
| Overview The School of Nursing prepares the next generation of nurses to lead with skill, compassion, and clinical confidence. The Nursing Resource Center sits at the heart of that mission - and the Assistant Director who helps run it shapes the hands-on learning environment where students move from classroom theory to clinical readiness. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Resource Center, including simulation lab scheduling, equipment management, and staff coordination. You will design, facilitate, and evaluate simulation-based learning experiences aligned with current nursing curriculum and accreditation standards, working closely with nursing faculty to ensure skills lab activities connect meaningfully with didactic and clinical coursework. You will also supervise lab staff and student workers, providing ongoing guidance, training, and performance feedback to maintain a high-functioning, student-ready environment. What you do at Salem State University matters. As a staff member, you'll be part of an institution that is a proud Hispanic-Serving Institution and that serves one of the most diverse student bodies in Massachusetts. We believe in building a workplace culture that mirrors our values: inclusive, equitable and driven by a genuine desire to help people succeed. You'll find professional development opportunities, a supportive team environment and work that connects directly to our students' futures. |
