Summary:

The Assistant Manager, Accounting Operations Center is responsible for overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, and process optimization within the Accounting Operations Center. This leadership role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, direct bill, financial reporting, and internal controls.

The Assistant will work with the AVP to develop and implement best practices to streamline financial operations, enhance reporting accuracy, and support organizational goals. They will foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Additionally, they will collaborate with senior leadership to drive financial strategy, optimize cash flow, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Monitor financial performance based on established KPI Dashboards and provide insights to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and corporate policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial workflows and support business objectives
  • Mentor a team of finance professionals, promoting professional development and high performance
  • Adapts to carrier changes and promotes process improvement
  • Proficient in banking systems and requirements
  • Utilize NFP systems
  • Identifying and reporting more complex issues to Accounting Service Center AVP
  • Work with technology to identify resources and solutions to optimize efficiency
  • Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of current operational accounting process and regulatory/audit requirements, manage internal audit requests and enforce adherence to internal and external accounting principles and policies

The base salary range for this position is $68,000.00 to $110,000.00. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
