Job Summary
The University of Michigan seeks a courageous, innovative, collaborative, and catalytic leader to serve as the Assistant Vice Provost and Director of Strategic Initiatives in the newly-formed Office of the Vice Provost for Sustainability and Climate Action. The Office of the Vice Provost for Sustainability and Climate Action is a new office within the Office of the Provost. The Assistant Vice Provost and Director of Strategic Initiatives will serve as the right-hand to the Vice Provost for Sustainability and Climate Action and work closely with university stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement strategic initiatives to position the University of Michigan as a global thought leader on tackling the intersectional issues of climate change, justice, and sustainability.
The Assistant Vice Provost and Director of Strategic Initiatives will also co-create, lead, and manage ground-breaking university-wide initiatives spanning curriculum, research, and community impact.
You will spearhead and manage internal university initiatives to catalyze external impact and work closely with the Vice Provost for Sustainability and Climate Action and the direct reports to the office to advance the strategic initiatives. The working location will be a hybrid of remote and on-site in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and will report to the Vice Provost for Sustainability and Climate Action.
