Associate Financial Analyst

Job Description

This position sits within the Center of Enterprise Technology Analytics team primarily supporting Fidelity Technology Business Units (BUs). This role is highly analytical and requires an individual who can multi-task in a fast-paced and complex organization while working in a team-oriented environment. The Associate Financial Analyst's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, producing financial reports, producing, and reviewing monthly activity-based financials, reviewing cost allocation, and providing other documents and analysis that support the overall Finance function in achieving its strategic and business goals.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 1+ years of experience, preferably in an analyst role

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

  • Excel skills required

  • Applicants must have outstanding analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to teams are a must.

  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with Finance and business partners at varying levels of the organization

  • Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approach

  • Strong experience with various software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)

  • Supports the creation of detailed financial plans for functional expense and headcount.

  • Dedicated partnerships and communication with business and finance partners

  • Uses tools and business knowledge to provide insightful information, reporting and analytics.

  • Provides timely and thorough response to ad hoc financial requests.

  • Preparing BU revenue and expense reporting, month-end close processing as well as variance analysis.
