Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Manager, Communications to join our dynamic Marketing & Communications team. In this role, you will support the Director of Communications in executing Core Spaces’ communications and public relations initiatives across our Student Housing and Build-to-Rent communities, while also providing creative brand copywriting support for marketing campaigns, materials, and social media content. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in public relations and corporate communications, paired with a talent for crafting compelling, on-brand copy. This individual will play a key role in maintaining a consistent and positive brand presence across all digital and external channels, ensuring that every message reflects Core Spaces’ voice, values, and vision.


What You Will Do

Public Relations & Communications

  • Support public relations efforts, including drafting press releases, award submissions, media materials and conducting media outreach.
  • Monitor media coverage for Core Spaces and its communities, identifying opportunities for engagement.
  • Assist with drafting and distributing internal company communications, ensuring messages reflect Core Spaces’ culture and values.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute communications strategies that elevate brand awareness and engagement.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all channels, in alignment with Core Spaces’ established guidelines.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging communication tools to drive innovation in messaging and media outreach.
  • Support resident communications and reputation management by drafting email communications, creating templated review responses, and ensuring consistent, on-brand messaging across platforms.

Copywriting & Content Creation

  • Write and edit copy for email newsletters, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns that effectively communicate our brand message and drive engagement.
  • Develop and refine website content for both corporate and community sites, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand voice.
  • Write and edit copy for paid digital and social media campaigns, as well as organic social media captions.
  • Proofread and edit all written materials to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to brand standards.

Other

  • Occasional travel may be necessary as needed.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ideally, You'll Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public relations and/or communications.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working with brand guidelines and maintaining brand voice across multiple channels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

You'll crush it if you have experience with

  • Experience in the real estate, property management, or hospitality industries.
  • Experience with Meltwater.
  • Collaborating with various departments.
  • Ability to analyze data and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Overall resourcefulness, creativity, flexibility, enthusiasm and passion for joining our team as we work to continue to invent the future of living

Pay Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
Additional Compensation

Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, typically ranging between 10-15% of base salary annually, depending on individual and organizational performance.
Compensation Disclosure

The compensation range listed reflects the base salary or hourly rate that we reasonably and in good faith expect to offer for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications, seniority, geographic location, and business needs.

This role may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, including bonuses, commissions, stipends, or non-cash incentives, depending on position and performance. Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other role-based offerings, subject to eligibility requirements.
