Position Overview

The Associate Regional Manager supports the operations of their assigned communities. The Associate Regional Manager’s role is to assist with training and development of onsite Community Managers, while ensuring day-to-day functions at the property level are carried out effectively. They help implement the business plan for their assigned assets, with a focus on supporting financial performance and achieving property goals. The Associate Regional Manager will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, foster collaboration, and model Core Spaces’ values: Push, Grit, Shine, Lift, Grow, Uphold.


What You Will Do

  • Support execution of the business plan for your assigned communities (approx. 3-5 properties). 
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Community Managers, including coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when needed. 
  • Maintain consistent communication with onsite teams and review weekly property performance metrics, leasing updates, and operational goals. 
  • Serve as the main connection between Mission Control and onsite teams to ensure alignment on policies, procedures, and best practices. 
  • Partner with corporate teams on marketing, leasing, and financial initiatives, making recommendations to improve performance. 
  • Monitor leasing trends, pricing, and competitor activity within the assigned markets; suggest adjustments as needed. 
  • Build local market knowledge and maintain relationships with universities and peer properties. 
  • Assist with budget oversight, monthly reporting, and cost control measures. 
  • Conduct property visits to ensure brand standards, curb appeal, and reputation management initiatives are upheld. 
  • Participate in recruiting efforts in local markets to strengthen the onsite talent pipeline. 
  • Support contract compliance with vendors and service providers. 
  • Complete HR-related responsibilities as assigned and contribute to special projects or initiatives. 
  • Ability to travel to on-site properties within assigned markets approximately 50% of the time. 
  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, as required by the demands of the job. This may include bending, stooping, and lifting throughout the workday. 

Ideally, You'll Have

  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written, to a variety of audiences  
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills  
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in property management 
  • Confident leadership approach with a track-record for building collaborative and winning teams  
  • A history of mentoring and being an exemplary example for Community Managers  
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans 
  • Flexibility to perform in a fast-paced, growing environment  

You'll crush it if you have  

  • At least 3 years of Property Management experience in a leadership role 
  • Student Housing experience is preferred 
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
Additional Compensation

Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, typically 20% of base salary annually, depending on individual and organizational performance.

The compensation range listed reflects the base salary or hourly rate that we reasonably and in good faith expect to offer for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications, seniority, geographic location, and business needs.


This role may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, including bonuses, commissions, stipends, or non-cash incentives, depending on position and performance.
