Summary
Provide support to the Banking Center Manager to ensure that operational policies and procedures, compliance and security guidelines are followed and to ensure that the branch delivers quality, accurate and timely customer service in a retail environment, which include the duties and responsibilities described herein. 

Weekly Scheduled Hours: Monday- Thursday 8:15 AM–5:15PM Friday 8:15 AM–6:15PM Saturday 8:15 AM-1:15 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

Strategic leadership
• Coach, lead and manage banking center team to ensure all strategic initiatives are executed effectively.
• Model and demonstrate First Horizon Bank (Firstpower) culture. Promote a positive work culture by increasing and supporting associate engagement.

Sales and business development
• Implement and coach advice driven sales process. Provide one-on-one coaching, inspect, and recognize sales activities and behaviors.
• Proactively collaborate with and refer to key line of business partners to lead and promote effective One Team partnerships.
• Cross-sell to generate new business and deepen existing client relationships, including opening checking accounts, savings accounts, and providing all other deposit product services at the client’s request.
• Take loan applications for retail/small business loans as required.
• Explain product benefits, changes, restrictions, requirements, and any other relevant product information to clients and staff.
Client experience
• Deliver excellent client experiences consistently and promptly resolve client issues effectively.
• Enhance individual knowledge to better serve clients by attending relevant sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
Team management
• Recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing Retail banking center team.
• Lead, grow, coach, and motivate associates to execute banking center routines effectively, aligning with our Purpose, Values, and Action to deliver financial guidance and support.
• Responsible for evaluating employee performance and counseling when needed.
• Determine and satisfy training needs and establish performance plans.
• Conduct meetings to institute new policies and procedures, to promote sales, product knowledge, and customer service to ensure continuous development of staff.

Compliance and risk management
• Collaborate with market operations and sales leadership to ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the

First Horizon code of ethics, while ensuring all associates on the team complete required training.
• Assist Banking Center Manager in monitoring daily transactions including NSF, OD etc… and take appropriate action within the authority to maintain operations within established guidelines.
• Ensure all audit and security policies and procedures are followed during customer service hours and at banking office opening and closing.
• Control the inventory of cash, Traveler’s Cheques, Official Checks and Personal Money Orders through dual control.

Operational efficiency
• Assist in leading and managing operational excellence for the banking center. Monitor operational metrics and implement improvements as needed. Partner with Retail

Operations team to address operational concerns.
• Alert staff of any suspected fraud, kiting, theft or other illegal activity.
• Stay informed of all operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with all current guidelines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assessing performance, providing regular feedback and coaching; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:

High school diploma or GED and 2 – 5 years of experience with a financial institution required or equivalent combination of education and experience; Teller and Relationship Banker experience preferred; 1-2 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.

Microsoft Office Suite

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (Ex: CPA, Series 6 or 7 license, etc)

This position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements.
