As the Banquet Captain, you will lead other associates by coaching, giving direction and training. Our captains are responsible for making the event/function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event. This includes linen, table setting, food station design and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Salary for this position is $7.25 plus tip pool.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of related F&B and/or hospitality-related experience. Banquet or Catering preferred
  • Supervisory experience, skills and abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
  • Ability to maintain close attention to detail
  • Experience with and thorough understanding of banquet service
  • Open availability to include evenings, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and move about throughout shift to supervises and assist banquet servers
  • Able to stand, sit, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to push/pull/lift and carry up to 50lbs
