Overview
Essential Function:
The Brand Marketing Intern for Cosmo Prof will support the Brand Strategy team in driving awareness and engagement for stylists through marketing campaigns and events, including the Iconic Blonde Virtual Event. With an interest in public relations, advertising, social media, influencer marketing, and paid media, this role will provide hands-on experience in campaign planning and execution. This position is hybrid reporting to the office 2 days a week.

Primary Duties:
Event Support and Public Relations:
- Assist in planning, logistics, and execution for the Iconic Blonde Virtual Event.
- Coordinate event promotions and track timelines to ensure milestones are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather campaign details and align messaging.
- Prepare post-event reports with key metrics and learnings.
- Support PR efforts, including monitoring media requests and tracking coverage.
- Collaborate with the PR team to develop press materials and manage distribution lists.
- Assist with organizing and shipping PR product mailers.
- Help draft press releases and pitch ideas to media outlets under guidance.
Advertising, Paid Media, Social Media and Influencer Support:
- Assist in developing creative briefs and asset requirements for campaigns.
- Collaborate with the paid media team to ensure timely delivery of assets.
- Monitor campaign performance and assist with post-campaign reporting.
- Provide administrative support to the media agency for day-to-day requests.
- Research and assist in outreach to influencers for campaign collaboration.
- Coordinate content approvals and ensure alignment with campaign goals.
- Help manage the content calendar and schedule social media posts.
- Monitor social trends and recommend opportunities for campaign enhancements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Current Junior/Senior undergrad student studying marketing, communications, advertising, public relations or a similar major
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and/or proven understanding of branding, public relations, and/ or awareness media tactics
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, Social Media tools
- Self-starter, go-getter with high energy and desire to learn
- Exceptional communication skills and professionality
- Flexible to a fast-paced retail world
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Resourcefulness in solving problems
- Excellent people skills and an upbeat, enthusiastic attitude
- Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail and follow through
- Aware of beauty and social trends
Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
- The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
