As a Business Management Manager - Manager Level 2 (Mid-Level Manager), located in Redondo Beach, CA you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
Northrop Grumman's Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for a Business Management Manager 2 on our Advanced Communication & Technology (AC&T) team. The Business Management Manager 2 will report to the Business Management Director under the AC&T operating unit.
Critical success factors for candidates will include a dynamic leadership presence, highly collaborative work style, the ability to anticipate problems, proactively deal with difficult situations and communicate appropriately with all levels of stakeholders. The candidate selected for this role must have strong organizational, problem-solving and closure skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and demonstrated interpersonal skills with different stakeholders and levels of professionals and management.
In this job, you will:
The selected applicant is a key partner in developing and establishing business strategies, investment prioritizations, delivering strong financial results for the Operating Units, which include, but are not limited to the following key duties:
• Collaborate cross-functionally, both within and outside the Division, to ensure success of business priorities and outcomes
• Day-to-day leadership of the business management organization including contracts, pricing and cost & schedule management for the Operating Units
• Oversee staffing, performance management and coaching development of the Business Management professional staff
• Participate in the business capture/proposal activity oversight to corporation commitment authorities and negotiation yields
• Collaboration with Cost Management and Program Management to develop the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP)
• Manage program financial performance including NCTA and capital investments
• Financial accounting/reporting, including Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) contract profitability assessment/reviews, cash flow/balance sheet management, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and business system oversight
• Conduct executive level briefings to Division and Sector Leadership
• Support as required with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Internal Audit and Deloitte & Touche (D&T)
This position requires the incumbent to possess a Department of Defense (DoD) active Top Secret (TS) security clearance and/or access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI).
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and years 8 years of experience in Business Administration, Business Finance or Accounting to include Cost Control OR; a Master's Degree and 8 years of stated experience
• Active DoD TS and/or SCI Clearance
• Leadership experience
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS)
• High level of proficiency MS Office Tools
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree
• Current or previous experience working with restricted customer
• Experience with Northrop Grumman Space Systems reporting tools

Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
