Cables Manufacturing Engineer - Level 2 OR 3 - 2nd Shift
Job Description
This is a fully on-site position; hybrid or remote work is not available. Relocation is not offered.
Our Cables Manufacturing Engineers:
• Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
• Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
• Design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
• Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
• May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
• Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
• Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
In this job you will be:
• Creating cable MES build plans using templates and desktop procedures
• Creating in-process change records on cable builds
• Troubleshooting and working Cause/ Corrective Actions
• Creating design change cable build plans
• Up-rev MES plans when new cable drawing releases
• Working process improvements
This position may be filled as a Level 2 or Level 3 Cables Manufacturing Engineer.
Basic Qualifications:
Level 2: Bachelor of Science in Engineering +2 years of relevant experience
Level 3: Bachelor of Science in Engineering +5 years of relevant experience; Masters Degree + 3 years of experience
Required for both levels:
• Experience with cable and wire harnesses
• Familiarity with Root Cause and Corrective Action
• Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
• Attention to detail and adept at managing competing priorities
• Must be able to work 2nd shift (2pm-11:30pm)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active DoD security clearance of Secret or above
• Capital SW/Cable Foam Board experience
• Experience working with MES
• Familiarity with SAP, Teamcenter and/or Solumina

We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
