Job Description
The Special Events Merchandiser is responsible for CDL is a touch freight position and is making deliveries of product and equipment to and from events, promotional venues, schools, and other deliveries as assigned.
What your day will look like:
- Transports and unloads products as required
- Sets up required special event elements such as product, equipment needs and displays to Company standards
- Communicates any issues to management
- Complies with DOT rules for driving purpose
- Provides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities as they arise
- Ability to work with all functional team members
- Maintains rapport with customers
- Collection of any breakage or out of date product, including empty shells and pallets
- Accurate accounting for all cases and customer transactions
- Ensure proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement daily
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

- Must be able to pass the Company physical

- Must be able to pass company driving tests before and after training
- Sales Department Employees must possess a driver’s license with the classification required to operate the equipment mandated by the specific sales position
- Non-Sales Department Employees must have passed the state written test and must pass the state driving test required for the specific sales position within 30 days from reporting to the job.

- Able to communicate with customers
- Knowledge of general trade math demonstrated by the passing of a math skills test
- Ability to handle and exchange money accurately
- Must be able to drive any equipment assigned to the Service Department
- Must be able to pass DOT physical
- Must be able to obtain a CDL B classification licenses within thirty (30) days after hire or transfer into the position, absent extenuating circumstances
- Must have the ability to communicate with customers
- Must be able to pass the company general driving test before hire and specific driving test after training
- Must be able to replace sealed units and changers
- Must be able to replace motors, switches, buttons, etc.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- Must be able to perform the procedures for the pick-up and delivery of coolers, special events, pre/post mix and fountain equipment
- Must be able to perform general labor of an unskilled nature
Physical Requirements
Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
