Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Description
A Level I Trauma Center in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking CRNA locum tenens coverage for a long-term assignment. This is a full-time opportunity with schedule flexibility and a preference for consistent weekly coverage.
Assignment OverviewStart Date: May 18, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with ongoing need up to 6 months)
Coverage Needed: Full-time, 4 weeks per month
Preferred Schedule: 4x10
Alternate Schedules Considered: 8s, 10s, or 12s
Providers must be able to work every week
Full-time schedule
Typical hours: 7:00am-5:30pm
Lunch: 30 minutes
Hospital-based practice
Level I Trauma Center
All providers required to work NORA
Patient volume: Approximately 1-9 patients per day
Patient population: All age ranges (no neonatal cases)
Orthopedics
Trauma
Vascular
Neuro (no cardiac cases)
No OB
Blocks not typically required
Support Staff: CRNAs, Anesthesia Techs, Anesthesiologists
Care Team Model:
CRNAs are medically directed
Typical ratio: 2:1 or 3:1
Can be up to 4:1 for low-acuity cases
Attending anesthesiologist typically has a resident in a second room, with a focus on teaching
Intubation
Central line placement
Arterial line placement
Line placement
Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA) - Required
Active Kentucky license - Required (open to licensing)
Minimum experience: 1 year (no new graduates)
EMR: EPIC (preferred)
Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days
