Job Description
Facility near Pittsburgh, PA seeking CRNA locums coverage Opportunity Highlights 
- Full-Time Schedule: We are looking for 1-2 FTE providers, requiring a minimum of 3 shifts per week and a 6-month contract to start.
- Team-Based Anesthesia: You will work in a Medical Direction model, alongside an MD and potentially an SRN A, though you will not work solo. Assignments include providing hands-on care and rotating for break/lunch coverage.
- High-Volume Surgical Focus: The hospital averages 65 cases per day across all locations (up to 350 cases per week). UPMC Shadyside specializes in complex procedures, including Surgical Oncology with intraoperative chemoperfusion.
- Diverse Case Mix: Assignments cover the Main OR, On-Site ASC, GI Lab, EP Lab, and Radiology. Service lines include complex neuro, cardiac, robotics, major vascular, Ortho, ENT, Urology, and GI. There is no OB coverage.
- EMR System: The facility uses Cerner SA Anesthesia.
- Privileging: Full and temporary privileges are available, with an estimated credentialing time of 60 days.
- Provide hands-on anesthesia care in the OR, ASC, GI Lab, EP Lab, and Radiology.
- Perform a full general scope of practice.
- Cover rotations for break and lunch coverage.
- Credential: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
- Licensure: An active Pennsylvania State License is required to apply. The site will consider candidates needing to obtain a license.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required.
- Questions for Presentation: Please confirm if the candidate is open to 8-hour or 10-hour shifts and if they are open to a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
