Job Description: Head of Learning Experience, Client Service & Advisor Learning (CSAL)

As Head of Learning Experience, you blend deep knowledge of learning & development design and consulting with a passion for coaching and developing people. You will directly lead a group of Team Leaders who oversee teams of learning designers, architects, performance consultants, as well as the Licensing Coordinator team - collectively supporting learning, development and licensing registration for Fidelity's large Brokerage and Wealth distribution business units.

You will also play an important role in prioritizing learning work across the business portfolio, mapping learning work directly to business KPI's, and helping to drive the overall effectiveness of diverse learning strategies across Brokerage and Wealth distribution. You will be a critical leader in the Client Service & Advisor Learning organization, work frequently with business partners in various functions across Fidelity, and help to build a world-class learning team that is closely aligned with strategic business objectives.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Deep expertise in learning design, performance consulting, learning platforms, content management systems and UX frameworks, learning implementation and data analytics.
  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.
  • Proven analytical skills and experience making decisions based on hard and soft data.
  • Organizational leadership: ability to coach, grow and inspire leaders, and attract phenomenal talent.
  • Well versed in modern experience design frameworks including instructional design and learning platform design.
  • Experience with identifying talent needs; recruiting and onboarding all roles in a learning organization; strategic resource planning and talent allocation within and across large organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills that enable you to engage cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach for decision making.
  • Model agile behaviors to support speed and scale.
  • 10+ years of management experience.
  • Securities licensing required within six months: SIE, Series 7, as well as Series 9/10 or 24.

  • Ensure team composition aligns with business needs, including workforce planning, (e.g., identify proficiency, expertise, and resource gaps, recruit, train, and/or hire) necessary to deliver value and results for clients and the business.
  • Support and mentor team members as a leader and expert, to enable them to deliver more value.
  • Enthusiastically partner with business partners and Fidelity learning teams by actively sharing relevant insights, knowledge, industry standard methodologies and developments within your area of expertise across the organization.
  • Work with team members to develop learning plans, drive consistency in use of platforms, content, and experiences to minimize redundancy.
  • Work with team members to ensure learning experience design and technology is effectively utilized to support the vision.
  • Pursue the use of new and innovative learning strategies to enhance our overall programs.
  • Execute autonomous decisions with the alignment to the Client Service & Advisor Learning vision and strategy.

The base salary range for this position is $123,000-$207,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
