Overview:
Revvity Omics, a division of Revvity, is a clinical molecular and biochemical laboratory offering a variety of different screening, diagnostic testing options, and biochemical and immunological analysis. From prenatal screening before birth to newborn screening shortly after birth and whole genome sequencing through one's lifetime. We are seeking a passionate Clinical Lead Tech with mass spectrometry experience to join our Pittsburgh state-of-the-art omics laboratory, where you'll make a direct impact on patient lives by working across our biochemical and immunological analysis departments. As part of our dedicated team focused on delivering accurate, timely patient testing results, you'll perform critical clinical laboratory duties that help healthcare providers make informed decisions for better patient outcomes. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the laboratory manager to drive operational excellence and ensure our commitment to scientific precision and quality care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluation of test results for accuracy and quality.
- Organize and participate in managing quality control procedures and quality assurance practices, especially documentation.
- Work will include processing human samples for testing and diagnosis in a CLIA Laboratory.
- Aids in compliance with regulatory agency documentation and reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoots processes & equipment.
- Organize the clinical test schedule to maintain result on time.
- Oversee inventory management.
- Updates department SOPs and forms as assigned by department manager
- Stores and organizes daily patient test printouts and other related worksheets.
- Performs other tasks as directed by the Manager.
- The list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be substituted as necessary.
- Working Conditions: describe office, loading dock, lab environment, include shifts and any travel:
- Clinical laboratory environment; some exposure to blood borne pathogens and chemical irritants. Must wear protective lab gear including lab coat, gloves, face shield and/or eye protection, completely closed footwear.
- Employee may be requested to work shifts other than daylight depending on the needs of the laboratory. Weekend rotation may be required.
- Perform mass spec analysis and associated laboratory tasks.
- Travel is not required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a physical science such as chemistry, biology, molecular biology or medical technology.
- A minimum of six years of professional experience in a clinical laboratory including mass spectrometry.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use a keyboard, type, and occasionally stand and move to other parts of the lab. Must have manual dexterity to use lab equipment. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $67,500.00- $77,500.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
