SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the applicable Director within the Clinical Pharmacy Department of Optum Massachusetts, a Clinical Pharmacy Manager (CPM) for Optum Massachusetts is responsible for the operational oversight of department services within assigned primary care region(s), for example Internal/Family Medicine or assigned clinical area (e.g., anticoagulation management, specialty, transitions of care, clinical pharmacy clinic). The CPM is responsible for managing aspects of Central Clinical Pharmacy operations through participation in and/or management of committees and workgroups, standard department programs and services, and the development of organization-wide drug therapy management materials and tools. Schedule for this position may be hybrid, depending on department responsibilities.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy. Must possess an advanced degree (i.e., PharmD), and have completed a post-graduate year one (PGY-1) residency (preferably in ambulatory care clinical pharmacy) or have equivalent ambulatory care or managed care clinical pharmacy experience; preferably with anticoagulation management experience if assigned to anticoagulation practice area. Licensed as a Pharmacist to practice in Massachusetts. Must meet or be eligible to meet all criteria for CDTM per Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy regulations. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years of pharmacist licensure, and at least two years of clinical pharmacy experience or 1-year clinical pharmacy residency required. Must have at least 2 years of work experience in assigned clinical area (e.g., anticoagulation management, specialty, transitions of care, clinical pharmacy clinic). Management experience is ideal.
SKILLS
Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Displays well-developed interpersonal skills in order to work successfully with all levels of the organization and patients.
The yearly range for this role is $124,848.00 to $199,432.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Atrius Health complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
