Repligen is seeking a hands-on, skilled CNC Programmer and Operator with expertise in Mastercam to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts to specification. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of G-code, Mastercam, machining processes, and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify CNC programs using Mastercam for milling operations.
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-axis and/or 4/5-axis, depending on equipment).
  • Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for machining operations.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot programming or machining issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of jobs, tooling, and setups.
  • Ensure machines are properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC milling and programming.
  • Proficient in Mastercam for creating and editing CNC programs.
  • Proficient in using 3D model software to develop milling programs
  • Strong knowledge of G-code.
  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and GD&T.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multi-axis CNC milling machines.
  • Familiarity with other CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

The estimated hourly rate/salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $70,000-$85,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision, retirement benefits and flexible spending accounts. All compensation and benefits information will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
