Job Overview
The Community Relations Manager leads Consolidated's efforts to cultivate a culture of serving teammates in one of the market units. The position serves as a liaison between market unit leadership, local engagement committees, and community partners to serve our teammates, their families, our customers, consumers, and suppliers. The position is responsible for event activation and execution, relationship building, program management, and measurement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides guidance to local culture committees on the types of organizations, programs, and events to support locally
- Executes enterprise-wide teammate engagement events (holidays, teammate appreciation, Veteran, and Appreciation, etc.). Recommends events and programs that are teammate specific for each facility with an emphasis on fulfilling local needs
- Partners with local leadership to help deepen community and customer relationships through local programming. Serves as liaison to create new sales opportunities or support existing customers and the Community Engagement team to align programming to positively impact the business
- Inspires, recruits, and provides direction to engagement committee volunteers at all locations to champion Consolidated and culture and values by addressing the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of our teammates
- Coordinates with HR business partners and other market unit leaders to educate teammates on internal resources such as Rapid Response and chaplaincy programs
- Measures and evaluates the success of programs, incorporates feedback into future planning, and reports on results. Tracks teammate touchpoints and impact on the business (conversion of new accounts)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Must have local relationships and knowledge of community partners and/or employee engagement, volunteer management, or related business experience
- Travel a minimum of 60% and work directly with local leaders and HR business partners
- Must reside in Market Unit
- At times, one must be willing to work outside of business hours or on weekends
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school
- Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
- Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications
