Our well-known telecommunications client is seeking a Content Manager to join their team for a year-long freelance engagement.
This is a 40 hr / week, mostly remote assignment, however, the hiring manager would prefer someone in the Philly / NJ area to be able to go onsite, as necessary (sparingly).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, review, and edit content from a team of creative and technical writers (team is currently undergoing a Sitecore migration from Sitecore 8 to Sitecore 10)
- Manage content delivery timelines, handoffs, and processes
- Work with various stakeholders in product, design, development, SEO, and marketing and communications teams, among others
- Contribute to the team's overall understanding of product and project relevance and user behavior, specifically from a narrative perspective
- Produce concepts and copy that are inspired, fresh and engaging.
- Contribute to and help maintain content strategy as set out by leadership
- Attend team meetings throughout project lifecycle and reporting on project status
- Stay up-to-date with and work within developer specs and design best practices
- Ensure cohesion and consistency of quality across all pieces
- Support content management, including using content management systems and other web technologies preferred; including but not limited to Sitecore and WordPress
- Understand user-centered design systems such as wireframes, prototypes, comps and design specifications
- Conduct or manage site content audits or content inventories to assess the value, organization, and consistency of existing content
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions
- Adapt language and style to reflect brand voice and tone
Requirements / Must Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to lead content teams, copy creation and delivery
- Experience using SiteCore, or a similar CMS
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS
- 3-5 years of content management / editing experience
