Content Writer

Position Overview
Our CPG client is seeking a skilled Content Writer to join their team as a freelancer working 40 hr/week for the next 12 months. This is a hybrid role working onsite 4 days a week with 1 day WFH. Candidates must be local to St Louis, MO to be considered. 

The ideal candidate will be a multi-talented writer who produces high-quality content that is relevant to the brand and compelling to the target audience. This writer will have an advanced understanding of the digital space and a drive for results while writing both short and long form. This writer will be able to work successfully with the internal creative and account service team, supporting team members from other departments and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Concept and write for a variety of touchpoints in the digital space, in both short and long form.
  • Understand SEO best practices and apply to written content. 
  • Use data to identify opportunities to refine and optimize content. 
  • Be able to understand an overall campaign and its components and create unique content to support it.
  • In addition to creative and account service teams, collaborate directly with legal, search optimization and client teams. 
  • Also be able to engage supporting team members from other departments in the interest of informing the content. 
  • Present ideas credibly to internal team and to clients. 
  • Have the ability to manage assignments with a high degree of autonomy.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in content writing, with a focus on eCommerce and digital advertising.
  • Experience in a marketing or advertising agency setting. 
  • Understanding of eCommerce and Digital Content writing. *Digital product experience a plus
  • Proficient in SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to enhance content effectiveness.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
