Top Three things Worker will be doing: This position is responsible for independently reviewing, drafting, and negotiating basic, standard, and complex health research contracts and related agreements with federal agencies, commercial companies, nonprofit healthcare organizations, and academic institutions that sponsor our client in conducting health research and clinical trial studies; utilizing advanced knowledge to analyze study protocols for appropriate areas to address in contract negotiations; conducting and completing timely negotiations; maintaining and submitting accurate contract negotiation reports; partnering with internal client research stakeholders and customers in all client based regions, mentoring and advising on standard and complex contractual issues, as requested; coaching others and providing expert consultation to investigators, Institutional Review Board (IRB) administrators, and research staff on standard and complex contract terms and conditions; and serving as a primary point of contact for legal counsel on issues, as required.

Required Level of Education: Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Sciences, Public Health, Engineering, Public Administration, Business, or Accounting with emphasis in Business, Accounting, Management, Finance, Research Administration, or Health Care, or related field AND minimum eight (8) years of experience in health care, research, academia, award management, or a directly related field OR Minimum eleven (11) years of experience in health care, research, academia, award management or a directly related field.

Preferred Level of Education: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree.

How many years of related experience are you looking for in your ideal candidate?: Minimum six (6) years of grant, contract, and/or legal agreement negotiation experience

Any Required Certifications?: Certified Research Administrator (CRA) not required but helpful

Expected Shift: Fully Remote M-F, 9A-5P
