Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, GA)
Schedule: 3 days onsite (Tuesday required; choose Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday for other in-office days; most of the team works remotely on Fridays)
Duration: 12-month contract | 40 hours per week

Our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Communications Strategist to support the development and execution of internal communications strategies that drive employee engagement and connect employees to the company's vision and strategy. This role partners closely with functions such as Human Resources, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Talent Inclusion, Corporate Impact, Facilities, Technology, and Ethics & Compliance, and provides support for the administration and distribution of e-newsletters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing comprehensive internal communication strategies and initiatives, including enterprise content creation, event organization, and executive communications for HR, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Talent Inclusion, Ethics & Compliance, and Technology.
  • Manage communications for HR and Ethics & Compliance, supporting enterprise programs such as Connected Conversations, GAS Mentoring Program, National Intern Day, Engineers' Week, and more.
  • Create visually engaging content for multiple platforms using tools such as generative AI, Firstup, Canva, or similar.
  • Serve as a resource and consultant to departments, reviewing communication messages and methods for effectiveness.
  • Write, edit, and proofread employee news stories for the intranet and mobile app, ensuring proper approvals for internal and external dissemination (including social media).
  • Develop and edit internal communication materials such as talking points, emails, newsletters, and promotional content to support company initiatives and enterprise events.
  • Conduct communication audits to evaluate effectiveness, receptivity, and recall; recommend and implement improvements, including automation opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a communications role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of strategic communication practices, including digital, media, and social media engagement.
  • Proven project management skills with experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and identify effective solutions.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate across departments.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
