Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 11p-7:30a

Summary:


Maintains adequate instrument levels in sterile storage area, rotating stock as appropriate, pulling case carts for the daily surgical schedule, stocking and delivering case carts, and retrieving soiled carts from the operating room. Maintains responsibility for reprocessing of instrument trays. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Currently enrolled in an approved CSPD training program and/or enrolled in classes for CSPD training. Good communication skills and phone etiquette. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Basic PC skills. Sterile processing or Central Service experience and/or certification in sterile processing. Medical instrument processing experience. Experience with materials management and/or operating room information systems. Medical terminology. Basic PC skills. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to lift 35 pounds and push/pull 350 pounds.
