The Manager will focus on two primary areas of responsibility: team leadership and management, and team technical performance. Responsibilities include the oversight and addressing of cost, schedule, and technical quality for development efforts. There is additional functional oversight of approximately 10 cyber and network engineers of varied disciplines working multiple programs, work 80% on productive work, IRAD, and new business capture opportunities with strategic importance for large downstream value.
The Manager will also be responsible for staffing and workload forecasts; support and adherence to standard processes; lessons learned; and employee engagement, mentoring and career development, including training and identification and training of skills required to execute on programs. Additional responsibilities include the recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, and contract maintenance for the contractors working in the business area.
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills and will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver. The Manager will have the ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the site business areas as required to accomplish the team goals. The selected candidates will work closely with Managers of other engineering disciplines, and Program Managers.
Basic Qualifications:
•       Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience; 6 years of related experience with Master's degree, 4 years of related experience with PhD
•       Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role on a project.
•       Exposure to all aspects of the cyber and network engineering process, from requirements analysis through verification testing.
•       Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•       Effective communication and presentation skills.
•       High proficiency in technical problem solving, including decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring.
•       U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a Top Secret and Special Access clearances may be required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
•       Active TS/SCI w/poly
•       Masters' degree in a relevant technical or management specialty

Primary Level Salary Range: $153,800.00 - $230,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
