Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data platforms that support big data applications. This role focuses on building reusable data movement frameworks leveraging Informatica Data Engineering Integration on the Cloudera Data Platform, ensuring high performance, fault tolerance, and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Defines and operationalizes Data or BI or Content Management, Document composition platforms platform and enables relevant use cases.
2. Develops, maintains, and improves deployment pipelines for the platforms. Maintains and ensures operational metadata (logs, performance metrics, etc.) are available for diagnostics.
3. Assists in architecture definition and provides solution design for these platforms. Creates automated solutions and frameworks to deliver efficiency.
4. Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex platforms and services in production.
5. Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards.
6. Analyzes information to determine business needs from requests and implement effective technical solutions by providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
7. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions to solve problems of moderate to high complexity and exercise judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) of multiple sources of information.
8. Lead medium to large data engineering projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Bachelor's degree and six to ten years of experience in systems engineering or administration or equivalent education and related training or experience.
2. In-depth knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows Shell Programming, Python, Git, Networking, Storage Systems, data/BI/ content/ document composition platforms
3. Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects
4. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree and ten+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
2. Knowledge of specific applications, technology platforms, programming languages, systems, or business segments
3. Banking or financial services experience. Knowledge of one or more of the following: Solid foundation in engineering Data/ BI/ Content & Document composition platforms, platform architecture and design with strong analytical and debugging skills
4. Professional experience building resilient platforms or services from the ground up and scaling at an enterprise level
5. Experience with Open Source tools and frameworks
6. Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
7. Experience using web servers, application containers, caching technologies
8. Experience with build tools, such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
9. Proven ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests
