ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for highly complex issues.
2. In this capacity, oversees others who perform programming and debugging activities.
3. Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets.
4. Provides technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations.
5. May lead large, complex projects related to improving processes or support capabilities.
6. May engage and mange external vendors.
7. Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices.
8. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
9. Mentors less experienced teammates to build technical expertise.
10. May have people management responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience in development or production support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge.

6. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and/or Master’s degree with eight years of experience in data transmissions or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

2. Deep knowledge and experience in software support or development.
3. Banking or financial services experience.

4. Responsible for installing/upgrading, configuring, and supporting the enterprise data transmissions (Sterling File Gateway, Connect: Direct and Control Center) platforms.

5. Supports environmental changes, which includes gathering requirements for system changes.

6. Provides third-level production support covering 24/7.

7. Monitors the infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and makes recommendations for the elimination of areas that are susceptible to failure.

8. Stays up to date on all aspects of security, related to the data transmissions platforms and integrations.

9. Attends and sometimes leads recurring project status meetings via conference call.

10. Multi-task and works independently, while applying logic and discretion.

11. Applies in-depth knowledge of application support and an understanding of best practices.

12. Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for highly complex issues.

13. Maintains standards and procedures for the data transmissions areas.

14. Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating issues, incidents and service requests.

15. Provides technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations.

16. May lead large, complex projects related to improving processes or support capabilities.

17. Engages and manage external vendors and partners.

Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices.

20. Leads the team of data transmission resources

21. 3-5 experience in Sterling File Gateway/B2B Integrator, Sterling Secure Proxy, SEAS, Connect: Direct and Control Center, performing installs, administration, and configuration.

22. Understanding of network protocols, firewall configuration, and security concepts.

23. Good experience with IBM mainframe, Windows, and Linux system administration.

24. Working knowledge of security certificates.

25. Experience in handling production support engagements.

26. Ability to perform a broad range of tasks and project assignments concurrently through effective prioritization of work.

27. Be self-motivated and self-managing, demonstrating sound judgement and effective decision making.

28. Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge.

29. Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.
