Join our Team as a Development Engineering Co-Op!  

The Role:

We’re seeking a motivated Development Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Summer and/or Fall 2026! This co-op hands-on experience in where you’ll work on meaningful projects and gain insight into the following:  

  • Be treated as a self-sufficient entry-level engineer with an assigned mentor for support.
  • Design, analyze, and test mechanical and/or electrical systems and components
  • Focus on new product development related to lithium ion batteries, Hydrogen Fuel Cells, chargers, H2 fill stations, and other energy systems.

You’ll collaborate with the Rochester Development Center team, as well as mentors and leadership, building skills that will help launch your career!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Diagnose and resolve system issues on test benches, in the lab, and during truck integration testing.
  • Analyze test data and prepare reports.
  • Assist in developing and improving battery technologies through modeling and analysis, using Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical fundamentals
  • Learn design for manufacturing methods to decrease product cost.
  • Work in a corporate team environment to develop creative, efficient, and economical solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Manufacturing, Reliability and Test engineering groups.
  • Communicate your solutions to a cross-functional audience.
  • Implement your improvements onto industrial work vehicles.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering
  • Current academic year entering Junior or Senior year BS, or Master’s any year
  • Available to be onsite at our Rochester, NY location in Summer 2026 and/or Fall 2026
