Summary: Oversees business and financial operations of Inpatient Physician Services including Rex and Johnston Hospitalist programs, Psychiatry, Palliative Care, Intensivists, Pediatric Hospitalists, Neonatology, and Neurointensivist Programs. Responsible for ongoing operations as well as the implementation of strategic growth priorities in these areas. The position is responsible for budgeting, people management, business operations and strategy.

Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for business operations of assigned Physician Services. Works closely with the Medical Directors to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the Inpatient Physician Services programs/service lines.
2. Participates in strategic planning and implementation of strategic initiatives as directed by the AVP and VP.
3. Responsible for managing physician recruitment and all actions related to physician compensation and contract management. Facilitates onboarding activities for all new providers including managing credentialing and provider enrollment process.
4. Manage all compensation and contract related changes for providers. Tracks all productivity and quality metrics related to service line goals and manages provider incentive process for related metrics.
5. Responsible for the annual budgeting process as well as reporting on the status of the budget and finances throughout the year. Develops and maintains reports related to service line finances, productivity, volume, service and quality.
6. Collaborates with Medical Director and Human Resources to manage provider related performance concerns. Assist in timely resolution of inter-department problems as they arise.
7. Oversight for provider scheduling with proactive 3-6 month planning, labor/staffing mix awareness and escalation of critical staffing gaps. Ensure proper payroll processing based on schedule and contract guidelines.
8. Ensures qualified competent staffing, space, equipment and other resources are available to meet the scope of services available.
9. Monitor and amend daily staffing plans based on real-time volume fluctuations with attention to flexing staffing models to patient volumes.

● No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Five (5) years of progressively responsible related work experience within a large integrated healthcare environment, including three (3) years in a supervisory role.
