Director of Customer Knowledge Capability & Patient Insights Engine (PIE)

We are seeking a Director of Customer Knowledge Capability in the Commercial AI Capabilities function within the Human Health Digital, Data and Analytics (HHDDA) organization.

The Commercial AI Capabilities is responsible for building and scaling digital products to primarily support marketing, sales and finance teams within the Human Health department to commercialize our company's assets. This individual will be responsible for defining the Customer Knowledge capability vision to support our company's overall vision of best-in-class customer experience and include several digital products to support customer understanding, segmentation & targeting. Patient Insights Engine (PIE) is a flagship digital product that allows marketers to gather quick insights such as patient profile and journey (e.g. disease progression and treatment distributions) among patient & HCP cohorts of interests. PIE centralizes market insights users need to know about their patients & HCPs and is envisioned to be fully connected to other of our company's applications for downstream marketing strategic plannings. PIE will be one of several digital products that will represent our Customer Knowledge capabilities.

As a product owner for PIE, you will be responsible for defining the strategy, vision and roadmap of the product. You are an ideal candidate for the role if you bring in a diverse set of skills and experience in (a) commercial pharma business and data, (b) building and scaling technology products for internal users, (c) collaborating across cross-functional groups. This role might be for you if you are excited about problem-solving, critical thinking to break down complex issues, and devising creative solutions to meet the needs of the business, and you are customer obsessed, data-driven, and is able to operate with minimal supervision.

In this role, you will deeply understand customer needs and our business goals to formulate the vision and strategy for the Patient Insights Engine. You will work with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, software and data engineering, data science, design etc. to execute against this vision and enable the adoption and success of the product. You will secure buy-in and alignment with our senior leaders to secure the necessary funding to manage the product throughout its lifecycle, from conception to launch and beyond,essentially acting as the "CEO" of the product. You will need to rally leaders from multiple matrixed teams to make critical decisions based on market research, user feedback, and data analysis to deliver a successful product experience.

Key job responsibilities:

*Product vision and strategy:

Defining the overall vision, goals, and long-term roadmap for PIE, considering user needs, scalability, and costs.

*Feature prioritization:

Identifying and prioritizing features based on their business impact and user value, creating a product backlog.

*Requirements gathering:

Translating user needs into detailed product requirements for the development team.

*Collaboration with cross-functional teams:

Working closely with engineers, designers, marketers, and sales teams to ensure alignment on product vision and execution.

*Product development process management:

Overseeing the development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.

*Metrics and analytics:

Tracking key product metrics to measure success and identify areas for optimization.

*Product launch and marketing support:

Collaborating with marketing teams to develop launch strategies and messaging.

*Market research and feedback loop:

Gathering customer feedback through surveys, interviews, and usage data to understand pain points and identify opportunities for improvement to inform future product iterations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Commercial pharmaceutical business and data

  • Owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Understanding feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Building and driving adoption of new tools

  • Contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Managing technical products or online services

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$206,200.00 - $324,600.00
