Job Title Director, Data Architecture

The Role
In this highly visible role as Director of Data Architecture in FFIO technology, you will provide technical vision and leadership over data architecture and modeling as part of our strategic program(s) to modernize our data platforms. You will be part of a broader leadership team that defines our overall data strategy and coordinated product strategy roadmap. You will be responsible for developing data architecture, data blueprints, conceptual model design, data integration strategy, master data management, analytics and enabling AI driven data decisions.

  • Define, champion, and govern data architecture standards, modeling practices, and related development methodologies.

  • Manage organizational data model blueprint to provide reference and framework to the systems development efforts.

  • Enable delivery teams to migrate their data workloads to the cloud with considerations for performance, data gravity, automation, and platform management.

  • Recommend software platforms and frameworks for building cross product data assets to optimize for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market.

  • Provide proactive technical oversight and mentorship to development teams encouraging data re-use, design for scale, stability, and operational efficiency.

  • Proactively identify divisional and enterprise opportunities that accelerate delivery and drive down operational costs through cross-product platform utilities and services.

  • Foster effective relationships with product managers, and technical leads

The Expertise and Skills you Bring

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related technology field

  • 10-15 years of experience in data related practices including data architecture, modeling, and data integration.

  • Solid understanding & experience with different phases of data life cycle viz., design, development, data integration, data analytics, and data visualization, data consumption patterns using cloud data base technologies.

  • Strong personal leadership and collaborative skills

  • Ability to define, champion, lead, and govern data architecture standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies working with FFIO-T architecture practice group.

  • Experience with preferred cloud data technologies such as Oracle and related technologies, Snowflake, and BI tools such as PowerBI or Tableau

  • Financial investment domain experience and knowledge (in alternate investments) is preferred

  • Deep understanding of data modeling principles and patterns and analytical data platform design concepts

  • Knowledge and experience in cloud platforms (AWS) would be a plus.
