Role Overview

The Director of Program Management leads the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives across SS&C Health’s product, technology, operations, and client delivery organizations. This role ensures strategic programs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with company priorities.

The Director translates executive strategy into structured programs with clear milestones, accountability, and measurable outcomes. This leader drives coordination across teams, manages program risk, and ensures disciplined execution in a highly regulated healthcare technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership

Lead enterprise initiatives across product development, platform modernization, client delivery, and operational transformation.

Translate company strategy into actionable program plans with defined milestones, owners, and success metrics.

Ensure initiatives align with growth objectives, platform scalability, and client outcomes.

Program Governance and Execution

Establish program management standards, governance frameworks, and reporting structures.

Provide executive visibility through program dashboards, milestone tracking, and risk reporting.

Lead program reviews and steering committees to ensure progress, alignment, and accountability.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Client Success to coordinate delivery of strategic initiatives.

Manage cross-team dependencies, facilitate decision making, and resolve execution barriers.

Ensure alignment across stakeholders and business units.

Portfolio Management

Oversee a portfolio of strategic programs and initiatives.

Prioritize work based on strategic impact, client commitments, regulatory requirements, and resource capacity.

Balance competing priorities to maintain delivery momentum across the organization.

Risk and Operational Discipline

Identify and mitigate program risks.

Maintain strong program controls including documentation, change management, and compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements.

Drive a culture of transparency, accountability, and execution excellence.

Team Leadership

Lead and develop program managers or PMO resources.

Establish best practices in program planning, delivery, and stakeholder communication.

Promote continuous improvement in program execution.

Key Performance Indicators

Program delivery against committed milestones
Execution of strategic initiatives tied to revenue, client outcomes, or platform capability
Improved cross-functional delivery efficiency
Reduced program risk and delays
Stakeholder satisfaction across leadership teams

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in program management, operations, or strategic initiatives within healthcare technology, SaaS, or enterprise software.

Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional programs involving product development, technology delivery, and client implementation.

Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Experience operating in matrixed organizations with multiple priorities and dependencies.

Healthcare or regulated industry experience strongly preferred.
