Job Summary

The Performance Manager (Product Strategy) is responsible for supporting product strategy design, planning, and end-to-end performance management for Point32Health’s dual eligible products., inclusive of products serving under and over 65 members in Massachusetts (“One Care”, and “Senior Care Options”).

The Performance Manager leads Duals Products performance key processes associated with the product performance management plan across a highly matrixed organization and a broad set of external stakeholders. This role works closely with a cross-section of division and enterprise business and functional teams (operations, clinical services, network management, finance, and actuarial, etc.) to ensure appropriate product management and successful performance tracking and performance improvement.

The Manager is responsible for supporting the development of key performance targets, the completion of required analytical initiatives and the creation of action-oriented performance improvement recommendations based on analytic findings.

Under the direction of the Director of Product Strategy, the Manager contributes to building presentations of key business cases and updates to the senior leadership team to facilitate strategic decision-making.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing (top five)

Analytics

  • Support ongoing product and market assessment, including analysis of product performance and competitors
  • Monitor product performance throughout the year and provide data-driven performance improvement recommendations across a variety of domains including medical trend, financial and operational performance, member/provider experience, care management, network development and compliance
  • Assess and support performance management of vendors as applicable (for new services and product enhancements)
  • Develop and maintain oversight of product dashboard and necessary reporting for the product performance
  • Drive analysis and reporting standardization, where applicable, across Duals products
  • Support ad hoc analytical initiatives required to evaluate and improve product performance
  • Communicate product performance to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership

Strategy and Implementation

  • Support the Director of Product Strategy, working collaboratively with the Policy and Strategy Manager to develop recommendations to optimize product performance in alignment with strategic aims of the products
  • Develop recommendations for annual product design changes in bid process
  • Implement key elements of the product performance management approach including financial targets, growth targets, and key performance indicators for key initiatives
  • Serve as the key liaison for Actuarial, Finance, Risk Adjustment, Corporate Data and Analytics, Medical Cost Management, and Pharmacy amongst others
  • Serve as liaison with key external vendors impacting product performance, e.g., Cityblock
  • Build product competencies, in collaboration with the Policy and Strategy manager of Product Strategy to ensure analysis design, assessment and performance takeaways are rooted in product operations and regulatory and policy environment

Certification and Licensure

  • N/A

Education

  • Required (minimum): Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: Master’s in Public Health, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

  • Required (minimum): 5 years in Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, or healthcare product strategy.
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience with D-SNPs or dual-eligible populations.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement programs and value-based care models.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional healthcare projects

Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):

  • Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
  • Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
  • May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.

Salary Range

$94,363.70 -$141,545.54

The annual base salary range provided for this position represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization. The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. As part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
