Full Job Description
The Treasury Department's Office of Macroeconomic Analysis (Macro Office) has an opening for a well-qualified macroeconomist (new graduate and mid-career). The office provides quality analysis to senior Treasury and Administration officials on current and projected developments in all sectors of the U.S. economy. Macro Office economists on staff work closely with top policymakers throughout the Federal Government. The work requires skills usually associated with a Ph.D. in economics, finance, or related subject. Alternatively, a qualified candidate may have acquired necessary skills through sufficient experience after obtaining lower degree in economics, finance, or related subject. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, successful candidates must have the ability to present their analysis-both oral and written-clearly and concisely in tight time frames.
