We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Automated Software Test Engineer who brings enthusiasm and expertise to the table. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Analyze requirements and craft comprehensive, forward-thinking test cases for embedded software.
  • Develop and maintain Python-based automated tests to guarantee optimal telematics performance.
  • Architect a robust automated testing framework and manage HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) systems.
  • Work with both internal and external development teams to integrate testability into hardware and firmware design.
  • Identify, document, and track defects while partnering with developers for swift, effective resolutions.
  • Monitor project progress with key metrics and deliver timely updates to stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in firmware validation testing, embedded systems testing, or firmware development.
  • In-depth knowledge of embedded software/firmware lifecycles, with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proven proficiency in Python development.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • Creating detailed test scenarios, plans, and protocols
    • Implementing automated test frameworks
    • Operating HIL test systems
    • Working within Embedded Linux environments
    • Managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Familiarity with Google Protocol Buffers.
  • Experience with the Pytest framework.
  • Knowledge of industrial/automotive protocols (e.g., CAN, CANopen, RS-232).
  • Basic skills in electronics and hardware troubleshooting.

Where and When You’ll Work:

  • This is an in-person role located at our Columbus, Indiana office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary - $106,000 - $135,900 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
