Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This is an on-site role in Dallas, Texas.
The Epic Learning Analyst I helps the accomplishments of Baylor Scott & White Health's strategic targets by serving as the primary proctor for new hire Epic Trainingand developing and implementing Epic training content using various media. The Epic Learning Analyst should ideally have a multitude of skills and knowledge that include training, instructional design, adult learning methods, Epic system applications, learning management systems and incident management software. This position requires in-person training experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Provide effective Epic application help by responding to help desk tickets and end-user requests (including being on-call help).
- Provide on-site proctoring support for new hire Epic Training.
- Effectively provide onsite go-live help, upgrade help, and ongoing Epic application help and optimization.
- Serve as a liaison between Epic end users, IS project team members, and other IS resources as required.
- Continuously improve the impact of training for Epic end users with formal and informal training.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of all training materials and setup of training rooms.
- Create and execute Epic test scripts for lesson plans and training environment builds.
- Create and execute process maps for Epic functionality workflows.
- Solve problems by studying business issues/requirements, studying Epic workflows, and synthesizing key messages.
- Develops customized Epic learning solutions and learning technology solutions throughout BWSH.
- Selects and applies appropriate learning aids and learning materials to help Epic training meet business and client needs using adult learning best practices and technologies.
- Collects assessment and end-user feedback data; studies with teams to establish the effectiveness of learning and development solutions.
- Applies continuous improvement processes to ensure quality learning and development interventions and services based on evaluation, feedback, and business needs for Epic.
- Applies technologies such as e-learning, videos, podcasts, mobile learning, and social learning as appropriate for Epic.
- Assists in the development of online courses and learner evaluation instruments for Epic that meet LMS parameters and e-learning instructional design quality standards.
- Performs other position-appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.
- Some travel is required.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Credentialed in Epic applicable application within 1 year from the date of hire.
- Strong knowledge of Epic systems and workflows - Patient Access, Ambulatory, or clinical Epic applications preferred.
- Demonstrated customer-oriented service excellence values.
- Ability to present and conduct training.
- Ability to work with Epic end users and troubleshoot Epic application issues.
- Ability and experience in understanding end-user Epic workflows.
- Ability to work well in team environments.
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and email software applications; LMS; incident management systems; and e-learning technology.
- A self-motivated person who can identify and resolve issues and advance personal knowledge.
- Ability to execute complex tasks through organization and a detailed, motivated approach.
- Demonstrated excellent social communication skills among facility customers and team members.
- A quick learner of software and information technology and motivated to learn new applications.
- Epic application knowledge to test, help, and train is preferred.
- Functional knowledge of the associated Epic application is preferred.
- Knowledgeable in adult learning techniques.
- Technical writing skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
