Event Coordinator

Job Description

Our client, a leading nonprofit is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Event Coordinator to support the team7.5 hours per day, from December through April 2026. The Event Coordinator will support the upcoming annual conference. The role is primarily remote but there will be occasional onsite needs for meetings, so you must be local to the DC, Maryland, Virginia area to go onsite to the client's office in Alexandria.

Event Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for all aspects of conference planning and execution within Cvent.
- Manage updates and content for the conference website.
- Oversee development and maintenance of the conference mobile app.
- Coordinate registration processes, including handling refunds and complimentary registrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth event logistics.
- Support meeting planning activities, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups.

Event Coordinator Requirements:
- Proven experience in conference and meeting planning.
- Demonstrated ability to support conference coordination across web and mobile.
- Proven Cvent experience required, including familiarity with its event management and registration tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with registration systems and customer service practices.
- Experience in a nonprofit or association environment is a plus.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
