Job Description
PAR Systems is looking for a motivated, hands-on team member to join our high-visibility Facilities team. This is a great opportunity to start your career in maintenance or facilities while supporting a world-class engineering and automation campus. You’ll assist with troubleshooting equipment and building issues, perform routine and preventative maintenance, help keep our spaces clean and safe, and support daily operations across four buildings totaling more than 250,000 square feet. In this role, you’ll make an impact by staying responsive to facility needs, documenting your work accurately, and keeping tools and workspaces organized. You’ll build trust quickly by showing reliability, strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed-from setting up meeting spaces to coordinating with vendors to helping with snow removal. Over time, you’ll grow your technical confidence across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and pneumatic systems and become a go-to resource for keeping our campus operating smoothly.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfort working at height (ladders, lifts, roof access up to 60 ft)
- Willingness to work outdoors (snow removal, maintenance)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; willing to learn ticketing system)
- Valid driver’s license
Nice to Have:
- Technical school coursework or certifications in maintenance or facilities
- Experience in a hands-on or physical work environment
- Familiarity with mechanical or electrical systems
- Experience operating forklifts, boom lifts, or scissor lifts
