The Role

The Financial Analyst role provides an exciting opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the Fidelity Brokerage businesses. As part of the Central Team, you will be responsible for delivering strategic insights and analysis to measure and evaluate the financial performance of the business. In addition, this role will be instrumental in the budgeting, planning, and forecasting process for Fidelity Brokerage along with supporting the organization regarding Headcount and P&L governance, reporting and insights. The candidate will contribute to the development of executive presentations which will be used across multiple forums and widely across the enterprise. This role will provide an opportunity to work across the company and partner with the finance teams across the firm. Success will require an analytic attitude, strong collaboration skills, comprehensive problem solving, independent thinking, and intellectual curiosity.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial modeling, planning and analysis
  • Financial services experience or experience in Retail Investing a plus
  • Proficient in MS Excel Proficiency in financial modeling and presentation tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, ThinkCell), business intelligence tools (PowerBI), and experience in Anaplan highly desired, but not necessary.
  • A self-motivated teammate who brings energy, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to ask the right questions in a variety of settings
  • Outstanding critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to respond to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work
  • Ability to work as both an individual contributor and as part of a team environment

  • Participate and occasionally lead projects that will provide actionable insights to senior leaders
  • Synthesize data to draw conclusions on business questions
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and new insights
  • Develop financial analysis and reporting, as well as month-end close processing and variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting and related business commentary.
  • Supporting ongoing and ad-hoc analysis and develop recommendations, including scenario analysis.
